I love to walk at Pepsico and each year there seem to be new sculptures that speak to me. For many years it was the people and the women goddeses made from car parts. Now I seem to walk in the opposite direction and found new images that speak to me. Eve is she embracing herself or hiding? The metal mandala. I love walking at Pepsico and being reminded about my love or art and nature.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved art, nature and photography. In 2000 I read a book called Art and Medicine and discovered expressive art which is my passion. Being able to express yourself In a healthy way has many benefits for your body, mind and spirit. I think music, art, songs, painting, photography, movement, journal writing all help to express yourself in a healthy way. Everyone has a voice and by sharing my voice through the expressive arts, I hope that others will be inspiried to create for themselves. I have found this to be a very important process to be able to express the good and the bad. Sometimes what we need to express is beyond words. Sometimes you may need to find your voice and you may even be surprised what this voice has to say. Breathe, quiet down, relax, trust allow and listen......
